Can't Log Into or Having Trouble In Pottermore?

by admin

The sending of the Pottermore Welcome email letters is officially over. The Pottermore Insider announced that the one millionth welcome email was sent out sometime yesterday. Based on this infor
ation one can assume they must have sent out a massive amount of emails yesterday.

Before Pottermore had made this announcement the student count was under 500,000. This number will definetly be increasing over the next week.

Yesterday was also a rough day trying to get into Pottermore. The site was down a lot, not surprisingly, with many people experiencing technical problems. You can also make the assumption the servers are down because the system is being heavily taxed by the amount of traffic.

Here are some measures you can take to better enhance your initiation into Pottermore. Most of these are coming from users reporting inside the Pottermore Fan Forum.

Pottermore Tips For Beta Testers:

1. Make sure you’ve downloaded the latest flash player for your browser.

2. Speaking of browsers Chrome is getting rave reviews on how well it handles the site while Internet Explorer is reportedly problematic.

3. Keep your browser open when you experience the “due to overwhelming demand” error. Sometimes the server comes up with the log-in after several countdowns.

4. Wait for the Chapter moments to load properly befor clicking all over the place.

5. While in the moments don’t forget to zoom in. There are several so called layers to the moments. Some hidden objects won’t reveal themselves unless you zoom in.

6. Start off with the easier potions as Pottermore is continuing to have server and technical issues. You would hate to get caught in a loop or lose a potion because of this.

7. Best log in times are of course late night and early morning. In the United States 11:00pm-12:00am are good times. There is less traffic taxing the servers during these hours.

8. Programs running in the background have been known to effect speed and performance. Close those.
