How do you Update or Create a Life Event on Facebook Timeline?

Facebook Timeline has now made it a lot easier to quickly post about life events as they happen. Many life events are common to many of us. Things like getting married, having a baby, buying a house and getting a job are all similar events that many of us experience at one time or another. Before on the “old Facebook” you would have to enter these events and the details pretty much manually. But the new Timeline Facebook invented a quicker solution to adding these important events in your life without having to create them entirely from scratch. It’s called add a “Life Event” and you’ll find it right on your status toolbar on the far right on your Timeline page after you scroll down a bit past your Facebook Cover Photo.

It’s easy to post a life event using this feature. Just click on the “life event” button and see a drop down menu of several main event categories broken down into smaller sub-events. Once you log into Facebook and get your Timeline you can start posting these events and retro-posting now.

Here is a basic overview of these events and some info about the Life Event templates.
