If this is the question you’ve been asking yourself then don’t look any further, stay right here. After spending countless hours writing almost 40 posts on the new Facebook Timeline and specifically the Facebook Timeline cover picture I thought it was about time to pause and reflect a little on the information I’ve gathered so far.

I’ve referenced in my posts 45 sites that allow you to either download their free Facebook Timeline cover or picture to your computer by the “right click and save” feature or allow you to directly upload them to your Timeline straight from their site.

If you choose to download these free picture covers to your computer it’s easy to get them to show on your Timeline. Just log into Facebook and go to your Timeline. Hover your mouse pointer anywhere over the cover and a drop down box will display the “change covers” options. One of these is the upload photo option. Click this option if you want to browse your folder for that specific Timeline cover you previously downloaded.

If you allow these sites to let you log into Facebook directly from their site where your selected cover will automatically be uploaded to your account your new cover will now be in your photos. All you need to do is scroll down on the same drop down box under “change covers” and select “choose from covers”. Your picture or photo should be there. Just select the picture you prefer for your Facebook Timeline cover and you’re done.

The following 45 websites have literally collectively thousands of free Facebook covers to choose from for your Timeline. Although not in any particular order I found many of the smaller ones tended to be more specialized with some unique categories. Most of these site have a wide range of categories to select from with each site having their own manner of listing the categories. Alos, many of the categories are not found on other sites. Also note that many of the picture covers will be unique to that site while others you might see cross referenced on other sites.

For a more specific breakdown of categories and quantity of free Facebook covers see the related articles at the end of this post. There are over 30 total articles on specific categories like funny, collage, 3D, nature scenes, movies, TV, astrology, music, sports, cartoons, anime, and more. Each article will list mostly 5 to 10 sites linked straight to that specific category. For each site I’ve given a short description of how many covers are currently being hosted on these sites as well as some of the specific titles and some picture examples.

It is important to remember that all these Timeline cover pictures are free to use on your Facebook Timeline. While some are clean and free of advertising marks many of the covers have a small, indiscreet URL or logo signifying the original covers designer or property owner. But again, all covers are free to download and use on your Timeline.

It took some time locating these websites and learning about each one’s content over the past few weeks so I decided to work on a top 50 Facebook cover site post which will be coming soon to the Tweeting blog.
